Amazon expands Canadian footprint, plans to add 3,500 new jobs in Vancouver, BC and Toronto, ON

Amazon is expanding its reach in our neighbor to the north and building up its Canadian tech hubs with new plans to add 3,500 jobs in Vancouver, BC and Toronto, ON. The company, which has had a hub in Vancouver since 2013, will add new roles in web services and user experience designers in the two cities aimed at improving Alexa speech ability. To accommodate the new hires, the company is planning on moving a total of 6,000 employees into 1.1 million square feet of office space in downtown Vancouver at Quadreal's The Post by 2023.
