Cory Booker's 2020 Kickoff Doesn't Receive Big Turnout

Cory Booker held his 2020 kickoff rally in Newark, New Jersey, where he use to be mayor.

According to Business Insider, despite good weather, Booker had a low turnout for his kickoff.

Newark police reportedly planned for up to 10,000 people, but had over 4,100 people in attendance.

His Democratic competitor Sen.

Bernie Sanders in comparison had around 13,000 for his 2020 kickoff.

Even more, Sen.

Kamala Harris had about 20,000 people for her kickoff in Oakland, California.
