The House Oversight and Reform Committee wants explanations on what its chairman described as "troubling" immigration decisions.

Stephen Miller Invited to Testify Before House Committee

White House senior adviser Stephen Miller has been invited to testify before the House Oversight and Reform Committee next month.

Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings  extended the invitation in a letter  Wednesday.  Cummings wrote that he wants Miller to give answers on some "troubling" Trump administration immigration decisions, like its old policy of separating migrant children from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border.  Cummings said the committee also wants information on the  recent personnel shakeup  at the Department of Homeland Security and President Trump's confirmation that he's considering releasing detained migrants specifically  into sanctuary cities .  Multiple outlets report Miller's helped shape some of the Trump administration's hard-line positions on immigration.

And  CNN recently reported  that President Trump told his aides that Miller was to be in charge of all issues at the border.  Cummings gave Miller until April 24 to decide if he'll accept the invitation to testify.
