LGBTQ Anti-Discrimination Bill Has Passed In THe

The House has passed a bill extending federal anti-discrimination protections to LGBTQ Americans.

According to Politico, the Equality Act would prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in housing, employment, credit, and federally funded programs, among other areas.

Every single House Democrat voted for the bill; however, the legislation isn't expected to go far in the Republican-controlled Senate.
