Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Bartended At Queens Restaurant To Promote Minimum Wage Law

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York took up bartending again, for a day at restaurant in Jackson Heights, Queens.

The 29-year-old former bartender poured a few drinks and waited on a few tables to promote two laws that would boost wages.

According to Business Insider, the federal Raise the Wage Act would double the minimum wage by 2024.

Ocasio-Cortez is also promoting New York State's One Fair Wage, which would require that tipped workers are paid at least the minimum wage.
