Presidential Hopeful Cory Booker Wants Clemency For Drug Offenders

Research says that the United States has the highest incarceration rate in the world.

And according to Reuters, Democratic presidential hopeful Cory Booker wants to change that.

On Thursday, the U.S. senator from New Jersey said that if he became president in 2020, he would introduce a "clemency program aimed at those serving 'unjust and excessive sentences' for drug crimes, including marijuana-related offenses.
