GLASSMAN SAYING: "On that form Kollie had indicated that 'no.'" Ohio District Attorney Benjamin Glassman on Monday accused a friend of Dayton shooting suspect Connor Betts of lying on a federal firearms form about his use of illegal drugs when purchasing body armor, a gun accessory and a 100-round magazine that was ultimately supplied to and used by the shooter.

The accused, Ethan Kollie, is believed to be a long-time friend of Betts.

He faces up to 15 years in prison if found guilty on the charges.

GLASSMAN SAYING: "You cannot possess a firearm if you are an unlawful user of controlled substances." Glassman says that upon executing a search warrant in the aftermath of the shooting, marijuana and mushrooms were discovered in Kollie's residence and that Kollie admitted to using them.

He says Kollie had stored the weaponry for 24-year old Betts in his residence to hide them from Betts' parents.

Authorities say they do not believe at this point that Kollie assisted in the planning of the August 4th shooting that killed 9 people, including Betts' sister outside a popular bar.

The rampage lasted just 30 seconds before Betts was shot dead by police.
