Are E-Cigarettes Safe?

E-cigarettes were introduced in 2007.

Mother Nature Network reports they were billed as a safe alternative to conventional tobacco cigarettes.

Since then various studies have found that these e-cigs may not be so harmless after all.

Local and state governments are taking action.

Researchers found that almost all e-cigarette vapor contains two cancer-causing chemicals: propylene glycol and glycerin.

The CDC and FDA are investigating a cluster of lung diseases that are linked to e-cigarette use.
