'Windsor Strong' students show gratitude to commemorate 9/11

Jim ehmke says: some students who weren't even alive when the september 11th terrorist attacks occurred used the anniversary to demonstrate their gratitude to the various members of our community dedicated to keeping us safe.members of windsor strong, a community service group at windsor middle school, delivered doughnuts and cider to officers at the armed forces recruitment center in vestal this morning.while there, the kids got to ask the servicemen about the military and what they did in the days following the terrorist attacks.7th grader marissa strawn says she wants them to know their efforts are appreciated.

7th grader marissa strawn says, "that people actually care, it shows that we respect them, and say thank you."

Jim ehmke says: the students broke into 2 groups and also delivered the goodies to the state police, broome county sheriff's office, the v-a, the mental health clinic and the binghamton police and fire departments.they also mailed care packages to servicemen and when we return, we'll have a look at your full stormteam forecast
