Trump's Tax Returns Can Be Subpoenaed by Congress, Rules Federal Appeals Court.

In question are eight years of President Donald Trump's tax returns that were subpoenaed by Congress in March.

The D.C.

Circuit Court ruled 8-3 to let stand an earlier ruling by a three-judge panel that allowed the action by the House Oversight and Reform Committee.

.

Seven of the eight judges were appointed by Democratic presidents.

The three who sided with Trump were appointed by Republicans.

The court has given Trump seven days to appeal.

Jay Sekulow, Trump's outside counsel, stated that he and Trump "will be seeking review at the Supreme Court.".

Trump also faces a New York grand jury bid attempting to gain access to his tax returns as part of the investigation into hush money paid out before the 2016 election.

Both cases could potentially be reviewed by the Supreme Court
