Adopted at tonight's west lafayette city council meeting.

City planners first started drawing up the idea in 2016.

The plan would redevelop 262 acres from the wabash riverfront to purdue's campus.

This includes areas such as chauncey village, wabash landing, levee plaza and the wabash riverfront.

Erik carlson says this plan is merely a guideline for the decades long project.

This is something that we needed public comment, we needed input and what we have now is a good 30-thousand foot plan of what we are looking for in the future.

There is nothing in this that is set in stone.

Up next for the plan is more planning and rezoning certain areas of land.
