Purdue fans not happy with cancellation of Big Ten and NCAA Tourney

The rapidly growing coronavirus outbreak has brought the world of sports and entertainment to a screeching halt.

New tonight, that includes the big 10 tournament in indianapolis.

It was canceled today.

Purdue fans were not happy with the decision.

With the ncaa tournament also called off, it brings the boilermakers' season to an abrupt end.

They finished with an overall record of 16-15 and 9-11 in conference play.

The boilers were most likely going to need to win the big ten tourney to get the automatic bid to the ncaa tourney to continue play.

Here's two optimistic purdue fans with their take on the team.

It's really unfortunate i think we had a real shot this year.

I was hoping they would at least continue with no audience.

It would be interesting to watch on tv.

You'd just hear shoes squeaking and no uproar of fans.

I think we were a fringe team to be honest.

It would have been nice to give us a shot i mean i would have loved to see us play.

I feel like we are an upset team for a lot of other team's out there.

I feel like we could have made some noise.

Purdue was set to take on ohio state tonight.

Unless ncaa rules change in response to the shortened season, it would have been the last time seniors wear the gold black.
