Locals react to first coronavirus case in Butte County

She joins us live in downtown chico.

There was a lot of mixed emotions when this news first broke.

And just moments after i was speaking to some of you.

Some people said they were scared and they were literally running into the store to stock up on groceries and basic necessitites... but there was some people who said this was bound to happen--- and they're not too worried about it some said--- they just want to go back to work.

I think it was expected especially as more people get tested, the more confirmed cases they're going to have.

It's probably going to go up from here.

It's going to get worse before it gets better.

I think it's very unfortunate.

I don't see it as big i was also talking to one woman and she hopes that the virus will remain the only issue.

She says she hopes people can remain calm and not take it out on other people.
