All pools...skate parks...outdoor sports courts and playground equipment areas to close immediately on monday....including all oregon state parks.

But not all parks are closed.

Kezi 9 news reporter jillian smukler breaks down where you can and cannot go during this time.

"wilson, we have been trying to stay indoors a little bit but its been so nice outside" "steiner, im worried we aren't going to be able to camp in a lot of spots" mixed reactions from frequent parkgoers today when i asked them how they feel about park closures and restrictions being made.

Governor kate brown closed all oregon state parks on monday after people failed to follow the rules of social distancing.

Jd: "what's closed is campgrounds...dog parks...really theres only one at armitage...but the campgrounds are closed."

Jason davis with lane county public health says...we could be headed in that direction in our area if people don't follow directions.

Davis,"we are keeping those open now contingent on whether people practice social distancing."

As of right now...day use-areas and boat launches are open.

"steiner, i would go nuts if i cant get out fishing and camping i really would" so what can't you do?

You can't stay at campgrounds...go to dog or rv parks... use park restrooms or any other structures like benches.

Bridge on a beautiful day like this especially during spring time you would expect the park to be filled with people enjoying the outdoors.

But as you can see... there is hardly anyone here at island park and it's all because of coronavirus.

Some tell me they will continue to be active and go outside during this time.

"wilson, so as long as we wash our hands and take care of each other and try to not come in contact with a whole lot of people as long as we are doing what we are supposed to be doing i think we will be just fine."

But he says it is important to follow the guidelines put in place so that this can all come to an end.
