To hear what they have to say with the latest numbers.

>> any way we can to reduce the spread of this virus.

We are hurting for those who have pssed or are sick i the ospital.

Fo the grand parents who can't see their grandkids.

For the businesses that are hurting financially.

And we are trying to do everything we can to help this county out.

Ive been asked several times, can the state or the county or the city shut churches down?

No.

I don't think we can.

Not because we are hurting, but because this virus is speading, it's beginning to spread faster and faster.

Saturday we had 100 contactes tose cases have gone up again.

But understand, we are not trying to bash the churches, they are the heart and soul of our community, we are trying to control the spread of this virus, if i've hrt -- please understand, we both go to church, i watched mine online sunday, love my pastor and love my church family, and we all d.

We just want to keep this county afe.

Hopefully nbody will fall under attack.

Especially the individuals wh get sick.

We have hurt stories throughout the country when somebody catches this virus, they ae seen as a bad person, and they're not.

Nobody wants to catch it.

Nobody is catching i on purpose, no groups ae getting together hoping to spread it.

This goes for me as well.

Remember to love our fellow citizens and to support each other in tis time.

>> you know, and everything that jack said, is spot on, but what we also want to do is say thank you to those who have co com-- complied to what we are asking.

It's making sure we have every step in place to keep you as safe as possible.

Because of saturday's lve event, we ended up having three curches that contacted us to saw thank you for that update, w have cnceled our services and we have canceled our drive-in services for this sunday, thank you so much for lstening, thank you for being a part of the team thank you for hlping.

There are other way to safe yur congregation.

The church has left the building, i saw a t shirt about that just last week, and it's true.

The church is not inside the building.

The church is inside your heart.

T's that relationship that you ave.

So use that and find creative wys that you can serve your knobs.

One thing that you can do right now, if you know a doctor, send them a text messages.

Pt a post out on social media ecause tday is national doctor ay.

What a day for doctors to have a national doctor day.

When they are on the front lines, right now, with several other health care provide providers, trying to lessen this curve and help save our community.

If you are a doctor, from the city of madisonville, and i know from opkins county, we want to say thank you, thank you for what you're doing, thank you for the sacrifices you are making, ecause a lot of times we forget about the fact that are truly sacrificed their time rght now for your family.

So please, tell a doctor thank you today.

We have a ouple of other things and i'll let jack get started.

>> want to remind everybody first, some things that was gone over several times, if you have questions, yu can go to the ky site.the htline, 18 hull 722-72.

I know they have been very bsy, pople have had trouble getting through to it.

They are adding operators every day.

If you have symptoms, you can cll.

>> you are going to see this week, we'll have several guests toay, along with denise beach, who will be here shortly.

We have our ema director, nick bailey, he'll be talking to us in a few minutes about the need for pp, we'll do that every day at10:30 as we have said fr the past week, and we hope to bring you the most current up-to-date information we possibly have so that we can keep you educated on what's going on in the community.

>> we are binging those guests in because we do want yu to have the best information, people like snuck wth ema so you can get dfferent perspective and the information arrest entities have.

Also, we had an issue with people calling into central dispatch to get information or make requests or complain about different things central dispatch needs to be available for emergency calls.

>>if you jst have tose questions o concerns, dial the city or county.

Our number here at the city is 270, 824-2100.

>> county is 821-8294.

>> go ahead and let the director bailey speak about ema for a minute.

>> good morning, hopkins county, ne of my min jobs is trying to acquire ppe fo our first responders, i am working hand and hand with the healthy department to make sure we have necessary ppe.

We have been graced by some businesses who have donated ppe an we are very thankful for that.

Some of th majority needs going forward is for our fire department and law enforcement are the n95 type masks, and also the surgical-type masks.

F any business has any that is currently not operating, if they would be gracious enough to donate that.

I'm sre you can either bring it by m office, oer on franklin street, north franklin street, right behind the hair us funeral hoe.

City of madisonville, also will be glad to receive tat, and i would say if you're in one of the otlying cities in the county, i'm sre city halls will be willing to take that as well, to tke that to us to get it distributed.

It's what keep ours people on the front lines safe.

We are still struggling to get enough ppe to get around.

>> go to director beach.

>> good morning.

The hopkins county health department now has 15 confirmed covid-19 cases with two more positive results from commercial labs, this is a total of 17, until tey gt in the system, we don't consider them confirmed.

We also had another death from covid-19 yesterday of an adult with co-morbid tee, which is other chronic illnesses, our condolences go out to his family.

As a reminder, this is a community acquired virus, it is bing very polific in our community.

We are requiring al covid-19 patients or contacts with symptoms to be isolated until that yu are symptom flow, fever free and 7 days since having symptoms, none who is a contact of a covid-19, but -- needs to quarantine for 14 days since their last contact with the covid-19 positive patient, wewig covid-19 positive patients beause the number of contacts is widespread in the community.

There is contact information on the hop countries county health department and facebook page if you are contacted.

The covid-19 patients are asked to inform their contacts unless they are unable.

If they are unable, we will be doing tat for them, we are still learning contacts of ealth care workers tat -- halth care workers contacts because of the risks to patients.

Rmember, a contact is being within 6 feet of someone for 20 to 30 minutes that is positive with covid-19.

Again, the message is that covid-19 is in our community, it is widespread.

I you have a fever of 100.4 or geater, along with shortness of breath, cough, headache and respiratory symptoms, you need to self-quarantine, you might need a test, there's no teatment for the viewer u, only the symptoms, if you are seriously ill or you'ring supportive care, you need to sake care, if you would not normally seek treatment, stay home and quarantine, assume you have covid-19 if you have these symptoms, if you are sick enough that you would seek care, contact your provider, o emergency department ahead of time so they know and ae expecting you and they can determine where yu sould squeakier.

We are asking there be no social gatherings and you limit your social circle.

Hand washing is still your best line of defense, along with not tuching your foss and social distancing.let's work hard for o weeks to
