Ashley and Andrew were just 30 days out from their wedding when the COVID-19 pandemic started to worsen.

Some couples are planning to say..

"i don't know"..

Instead of "i do".

That's because "covid-19" is causing them "to delay" or, "even cancel their weddings".

Spoke with a local couple about how they're planning "for the best"..

Despite "dealing with the worst".

While the date on them is locked in -- for now... this pandemic is causing other couples to take a rain check on theirs.

*nats of photo flashes* ashley seibert{sigh-ber} is counting down the days to marry her best friend... "since you're a little girl, you plan for one specific day."

*nats of photo flashes* after a dream proposal at a country music concert in june... *nats* she... and her fiance' andrew... jumped right into wedding plans.

"just to even look at venues, we had to get a guest list pretty quickly... i would say within like 24 hours."

And... just 30 days out from their big day in april... *insert nat pop of covid-19 story?* a global health pandemic crashed the party.

"a lot of tears, a lot of stress...."

"it was a mad scramble to try to figure out what we were gonna do next."

*nats of phones ringing / im messenger sound* at "simple to elegant" in terre haute... ashley and andrew aren't the only ones calling for help.

Owner "jeanette winchester" say so far..

They already rescheduled more than a dozen weddings.

(jeanette) "we've rescheduled numerous weddings before for different reasons, but the magnitude of this... a very, very, very hectic time."

But... all hope is not lost.

- winchester says the first step is the venue... be open... and flexible... about new dates and your vendors.

- tell your guests about the changes.

Winchester says you can do this... for free... online.

Sites... like "the knot"... let you create a website for the big day.

"we're still together, we're still planning on being together..."

And though the new countdown may be farther away... that's ok for ashley and andrew... "we're marrying our best friend, we're healthy, we're both still working...."

"we're very fortunate..."

That's because... these days... there's more to be thankful for.
