Utica Comets organize blood drive at the Adirondack Bank Center

Communities during this coronavirus pandemic.
The comets announced that they - in a joint effort with the rochester americans - binghamton devils and syracuse crunch - have partnered with the american red cross to hold blood drives in each respective city on april seventeenth.
The idea is to help maintain a healthy blood supply for hospital patients during a time of heightened admission rates.
Comets president rob esche released a statement about the collaboration saying quote: "we're honored to use our combined resources and collaborative efforts to play a small part during these trying times, but more importantly, it is our goal that similar venues can make use of their resources in similar fashions.
Ahl venues exist as the ideal spaces that can adhere to the challenges that come with social distancing."
The comets' blood drive will take place on friday - april seventeenth at the adirondack bank center from noon to six p-m.
All donors will receive a comets pin for their donation.
