The Harrison and Purdue grad was set to begin his first season with the Milwaukee Brewers

Room.

Thanks for joining us tonight.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Go brewers!

For the first time in 13 years ..

Josh lindblom is spending his april back home in lafayette.

Lindblom was set to begin his first season with the milwaukee brewers after experiencing a ton of success in the korean baseball organization ..

But with major league baseball on a hiatus because of the coronavirus pandemic ..

Lindblom will have to wait to make his brewers' debut ..

Meantime, the 32- year-old is taking advantage of family time like bedtime stories with his three children ..

Palmer ..

Presley and monroe.

A lot has changed since lindblom graduated from harrison in 2005.

The purdue alum signed with the brewers back in december ..

A few months later ..

Lindblom was in phoenix for spring training when the m-l- b elected to postpone the season ..

Lindblom believes baseball will return ..

Until that time comes ..

He's trying to stay staying in shape ..

Lindblom lifts, throws and runs at his house ..

But those workouts only consume so much of his day.

Lindblom is quote trying to fill the hours like everybody else ..

Yes, it's been different ..

Unusual ..

He plays board games ..

Not baseball games ..

Watches movies not film ..

But the experience has given lindblom a new perspective on life..

One that he's embracing in an effort to find balance.

Josh lindblom: baseball is my job, it's what i do, you know i do it all year round.

For the last however many years of my life.

To step back from that and see i am a husband first, i am a father.

I've got these other responsibilites that sometimes unfortunately kind of get pushed off because of baseball, but now there's no excuse because i don't have anything else that's you know, vying for my time.

There will become a time when baseball does come back.

That balance is going to be hard.

And i will have to be even more aware of when it happens when i kind of slack off on those other duties that i am responsible for.

That's a wrap for sports.
