'Very challenging': Punjab cop's hand reattached in 7.5 hour surgery

Doctors were successfully able to reattach the hand of a policeman in Punjab who suffered a shocking attack on April 12.

A group of 'Nihangs' had allegedly chopped off his hand after they were stopped from entering a vegetable market due to the nationwide lockdown.

The director of PGIMER in Chandigarh said that the operation was 'very challenging' and took seven and a half hours.

However, they were able to reattach the appendage.

The alleged assailants have been arrested.
