I did speak with one of the nurse practitioners and he told me why these testing sites are so important pkg wesley hutchinson- nurse practitioner "some people may have been symptomatic and didnt know how to get tested or were worried about paying for it" wesley hutchinson says several people took the chance to get tested for the coronavirus.

" it's been a really good turn out i think we had a 100 test and i think we're going to run out of them" today's testing was not just for people showing symptoms of the virus but for anyone who wants to get tested.

The test is quick, it is a nasal swab..

The nurse holds the test in your nose 10 seconds at a time for each side.

Then the test is sent to the lab for results.

Results usually come back in 4 days.

Hutchinson says the more testing is done the easier it will be to have a better understanding of the virus... " if we had an accurate estimate of how many people actually have this virus then we would have a better picture of what we are looking at over all" the next free drive up testing site is going to be tomorrow in smithville..
