Butte and five other northern california counties sent this letter to governor newsom asking that local governments make the decision on lifting the stay-at-home order... the letter has 22 signatures between mayors, state lawmakers and board of supervisor chairs from butte, tehama, glenn, yuba, sutter, and colusa counties.

Butte county chair 'steve lambert' says his approval on re- opening the area was based on several factors.

He says local public health data shows the infection rate across these six counties has stayed low.

This is one of two meetings that will start to inch the door open on re-opening.

Chico city manager mark orme says there will be a countywide planning process starting tomorrow to discuss the re- opening plans for when the time comes.
