Advanced age....underlying conditions....respira tory problems. that's why the family of an 88-year- old with copd is calling their dad....a miracle.

And-why not only his family, but the hospital, is cheering him on.

None stand up this virus has taken its toll in this community.

For an 88-year-old man with an underlying condition to recover was just the victory this community needed and not only his family, but the hospital, too, is celebrating.

Don collicci tested positive for the coronavirus.

His is a tight-knight family.

Not seeing their dad and grandfather, who lived with them, was torture :57 "last time we've seen him was march 23rd.

From there he was tested positive four days later" then, more bad news 1:04 "and then was put on a vent two days after that for approximately seven days" an 88-year-old with copd and now, the coronavirus, is placed on a ventilator.

The outlook was not good.

Then, a good call.

And yesterday, the family cheered outside st.

Elizabeth medical center as he headed off to rehab at sitrin healthcare, in new hartford, where he will hopefully rebuild his strength, so he can go back home.
