We stopped by the fly creek fire department to find the doors open to anyone who stopped by.
Select fire departments in the county were asked to issue masks and sanitizer.
This was the first time fire departments did this.
We spoke with the fly creek fire chief who says this is important to keep people safe.
"this way people can do their social distancing while wearing masks and protecting themselves, their family, and their relatives.
It's a good thing that otsego county, the county coordinators put on this program so we could keep people safe.
The chief says the most important message is to wear your masks, stay in... as much as possible, and social distance.
