State officials announcing that so far more than 125 triumph workers tested positive for covid-19... kq2's madeline mcclain, joins us in studio with what state officials say to expect tomorrow.

(maddie) alan -- 126 workers positive -- at one plant joseph.

We've been waiting for the results as testing has been going on at triumph all week for its nearly 3,000 workers.

And the results are just for last week - -and monday.

Here's what state officials say the rest of the results are coming.

Of health: "we've done about 2,430 tests and we are doing some more today" northwest health testing nearly 3-thousand workers -- and missouri's health department revealed the results up through monday..dr. randall williams, mo.

Of health: "so of 707 asymptomatic workers 92 test positve, and that with no fever, cough"that's on top of 34 triumph workers that tested positive last week.all 126 positive workers have been told to self-isolate randall williams, mo.

Of health: "some were symptomatic but a majority were asymptomatic."while local officials are contact to them.

Dr. randall of health: "we've sent a team up contact tracing so we can immediately go in and box in.."and how many more people will have to be isolated and tracked -- is still up in the air.more than 1500 tests just between tuesday and wednesday still haven't been released -- and then there's thursday and friday's batches.dr. randall williams, mo.

Of health: "we have another 914 coming in overnight and 400 tomorrow.

(maddie) we had no response from triumph officials about the results, testing or anything this week -- despite reaching out multiple times.we will continue to reach out.

Missouri's chief health officer was asked during the press briefing whether he believed the plant should be shut down.

He says no -- because it's critical to providing food to americans... and we also hear this evening, that the daily's premium meats plant across the street from triumph had it's first confirmed case in an employee tonight.
