The sellers also follow social distancing norms. The vegetable sellers purchase vegetables from the market and sell to the doorsteps of the dwellers for decades.

The floating vegetable market is an age-old tradition of Dal Lake and thousands of people are earning their livelihoods with the help of this market who are selling different type of vegetables at whole sale rates.

Recently, an elderly woman of Batpora tested positive for the disease and died at the hospital.

Her close contacts have been quarantined, of which one family member tested positive.
