Restaurants reopen across Mississippi to inside dining

Thursday was the first day restaurants across Mississippi could open their doors to inside diners.

About dinner time here at buffalo wild wings here in tupelo and people are begining to show up... i was here at around lunch time and the manager told me he was so glad to see people back here grabbing a cold beer... time right place."

He says it is great to see the tv's back on and the beer taps flowing... "i think dinner will be a bit busier once people see we are open, we just want people to be comfortable to come here and get great wings and cold beer."

The coronavirus tested restaurant managers and staff throughout the country and forced them to adapt.

The pandemic forced places like buffalo wild wings to create a delivery and curbside system... "this is probably the most challenging thing i've been through in my whole life and just look at me i'm old.

I think it has given me a new perspective on things.

It's a new way of looking at interaction and engagement."

Evan stand up to enforce the social distancing rules, employees are closing every other table to make sure that everyone is keeeping that 6 feet rule in mind.

The sports bar also created disposable menus so no two customers come in contact with the same menu... the coronavirus has forced managers to create new positions to keep things sanitary... "we got somebody called the sanitizer where their only job is to wipe down door handles, knobs, tables and really everything."
