The shasta county health department says the state is delaying a request to move forward with phase 2 of re- opening... the health department and county health officer say a rodeo in cottonwood sunday jeopoardized the request... approval of the plan would have allowed some dine in restaurants to open, now it will be delayed.

The chico unified school district plans to re-open schools in august.

The district superintendent says the current plan is to have the next school season begin august 17th.

The superintendent also says the start of the school year could still change due to the pandemic..

Starting june 8th - kids will also be able to take online classes during the summer.

Reps with enloe medical center say its rehabilitation center will return to it's original location -- this week.

Federal teams set up a field medical station april 6th at that location... just in case.

That station never saw any patients... enloe services transitioned to operate fromt the chico sports club.

All the fema equipment will remain on site, and if needed, can be set back up.

A federal court has temporarily blocked the trump administration's efforts to pump more water from the san joaquin delta region, to the agricultural heavy central valley.

Critics argued such diversion would threaten endangered species and salmon runs.

The order halts the u.s. bureau of reclamation from increasing the amount of water diverted - until at least may 31st.
