Cooperstown board approves outdoor sales

Businesses can apply for permits to sell merchandise outdoors on the sidewalk in Cooperstown.

An initiative called "cooperstown outdoors" was approved by the village board.

Businesses can apply for a permit to sell merchandise on the sidewalk.....increasin g their shop's capacity.

Businesses would need proof of insurance to get the permit.

The initiative would start on monday and run through october 12th.
