Notre Dame students will return to the classroom this fall

Notre Dame Schools announced on Tuesday that school will resume in school classes on September 9th.

The schoolsshut o coronavirus and students transitioned to online learning.

News channel 2's brent kearney spoke is live at the school tonight to tell us more about the school's decision to reopen this fall.

Kristen, officials with the school tell me they've been working on a plan for the past3y that students will return tonewy not be normally used to.

Notre dame executive principal roy kane says he's looking forwardts once again filled with students.

School trustee carrie putelo was put in charge of the school's crisis committee put in charge of planning the schools reopening.

"when we started transitioning tothinkinf the colleges.

When utica college announced its reopeingwm them.

"now a couple of thingsths should expect when they go back to school is that students are going to need to wear masks while they're inside of the building.

Desks will also be spaced 6 feet apart to abide by state socialdd we will be maybe looking at temperature checks and thingslio feel sick and we need to isolate them" board of trustees president vincent gilroy says the online learning was one of the schools biggest challenges especially for teachers and parents.

"its been so hard onthe teachers to the parents its really been challenging ithink.e school year starts, teachers will guage where students are academically following online learningnd will adjt if need.
