In a 6-3 ruling, the United States Supreme Court decided that under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, federal law protects members of the LGBTQ community from employment discrimination.

In a landmark decision by the u-s supreme court, members of the l-g-b-t-q community can no longer be legally discriminated against in the workplace.

Fultz says still a ere long way to go for equality for all, those in the lgbtq community are very excited about the decision today.

Howing that this is another step forward for equality in our community is an important step and we hope to continue those steps in the future.

This ruling does not extend to the religious freedom restoration act.

Justice neil gorsuch said in the opinion of the court that ow these doctrines protecting religious liberty interact with title vii are questions for future cases too.
