Though douglas county is sitting at 29 cases, public health officials say they could see an outbreak...if people aren't more careful.

Kezi 9 news reporter evita garza shows us how one roseburg resident is trying to set an example for others.

But, she says she worried other people don feel the same way she does.?for a lot of people, it doesn seem real?

Public health officer bob dannenhoffer says people like newman have the right idea.

He says the virus is still very much alive.

00:49 bob dannenhoffer, public helath officer:?we know there nothing special about douglas county that immunizes us against getting it.

We certainly know we can see outbreaks here."

Since march, county health officials have tested 4,010 people for covid-19.

3981 of those people tested negative.

Dannenhoffer says these numbers have stayed consistant for weeks&and he proud of that.

But, they will only stay that way unless people continue to do their part.?i do wish more people would wear masks.

Remember, we wear masks not to protect ourselves, but to protect other people?

In the meantime, newman says she going to keep doing what she doing,?because i think it a real issue and a real possible threat?

And, set a good example for others in douglas county.
