I'm here at olmsted county's new election office on campus drive southeast.

The deadline for submitting an absentee vote for the 2020 primary has also been extended.

The election office has already seen a rise in absentee voting requests this year because of the pandemic ?

We've been very busy with data entry with all the absentee requests we've received back already.

So we currently are at about 15000 requests to vote absentee just for the august primary election polls here open in just 3(2) hours.

Earlier this month, olmsted county mailed out absentee ballot applications to registered voters.

Because of the state's changes, some of the instructions on that mailing are outdated.
