The Fort Wayne Housing Authority property does not have an official opening date due to COVID-19 restrictions, however, FWHA Executive Director and CEO George Guy said he expects to be able to welcome residents July 15.

For people struggling with homelessness..it can be very difficult to get back on track.

Fox 55's jeremy masukevich shows us a new living space in fort wayne with the goal of providing services to those most in need of housing.

Obviously there may be more people there but we are looking at 44 one bedroom units and 12 two bedroom units.

It is based on the need.

Chronically homeless, with a disability those folks will have first priority.fwha executive director george guy says they want to fill the space with community members most in need.sot george and at the same time address some of their challenges that may prevent them from being self- sufficient.

Folks want to be in a place that they can call home, a community, they can enjoy their neighbors, enjoy some of the activities that are going to be present there.
