Madelyne./// brooke and tyler.

I'm at zumbro valley health center and i'm told that stress and anxiety you may be feeling right now is completely normal.

But checking in and staying up to date with your mental health is just as important as your physical health.

Crystal guyse tells me they've stayed busy the last few weeks helping clients navigate through their feelings.

There have been a lot of conversationg s surrounding systemic racism following the death of george floyd.

Guyse says their goal at zumbro valley health center is to represent and mirror the community as best as they can through their own staff.

She tells me their mental health profressional s are being educated on how to offer culturally competent resources and services.

"it definitely shows that it's a value i would say of our agency.

But also that there's a training, that understanding, that expertise, that cultural incompetence."

Guyse tells me if you're wanting to learn more and educate yourself on the issues surrounding racial injustice... there are plenty of books out there that can help you with that.

She even recommends forming a book club and sharing with others.

Live in rochester.
