Kanye's new hit heavily features clips of Robert G Moore Jr., a bishop at the New Vision New Day Ministry, in Youngstown, Ohio. Moore's exhortations feature throughout the song, lending vocal percussion to the ethereal trap beat, which was written by Kanye and a team of producers, and mixed by Dr. Dre. Moore, 58, is a bishop who splits his working hours between preaching at the ministry and delivering packages for DHL.He says that Dr. Dre's people discovered one of his sermons on YouTube, titled 'Its More Than Just Business To Me, Its Personal'.They requested to use the phrase: "A roaring lion walketh about seeking whom he may devour."Moore said: "I was sitting at home when I received an email from my organist. "He said someone named Trevor Lawrence needed to talk to me about a song for Kanye West." Moore, who had never heard of Trevor Lawrence, wondered if it could be a scam. He added: "I was like 'get out of here, quit playing'.
Then I saw the area code and checked it all out."I Googled the guy's name and found out he was a drummer for Dr. Dre.
They fell in love with my voice."The rest was talk and contract paperwork." Moore declined to say how much he earned for the sample, but noted that he was paid fairly. He added: "I have been paid duly.
It was a one time deal though, no royalties.
