Gold Division beats Black Division

Eyes welcome back... welcome back... a lot of eyes were on terre haute monday night as the 16th annual wabash valley football coaches association all-star game took place.... this was the first football game in the state of indiana, since the coronavirus shut down sports in march... this years contest took part at the boys and girls club field in terre haute... the gold division opening drive would end when former northview standout zack calandrilla gets the sack for the black division.... second quarter...the gold division defense makes a big play...north putnam grad skyler warren with the safety for the games first score..... late first half...former north vermillion teammates hook up with brennan ellis throws a perfect pass to wyatt reynolds who goes down at the black division 16-yard line... later in the drive....ellis finds aj sanders for a 13-yard touchdown reception....the gold team took a eight-nothing lead to the half.... the black division would finally get their first big offensive play in the third quarter....parke heritage grad logan white airs it out to dakota campbell, who goes down at the gold 26-yard line... biggest moment of the game came four plays later.....black division at the goal line, going in for the score when aj sanders picks off white in the endzone....sanders made some of the biggest plays in this all-star game... fourth quarter...less than two play....third and two....black divison needs a stop to have any chance to win.... brennan ellis has other ideas....he hits kalib lawrence across the middle and the former north putnam cougar is takes this to house to seal the win.... the gold division shocks many winning 14-nothing... the gold players heard all the trash talk all week from the black division about being the underdog, but the gold division said they let their play do the talking... the national junior college athletic association
