Dolgeville will hold its second school budget vote next week after it did not pass in June.

This is the second straight year that dolgeville's school budget plan was rejected by voters.
Those of you voting absentee have until ((today(( to do so.

The first vote, last month, failed to get the super majority needed.
A second vote will happen a week from today on july 28th.... in the high school cafeteria.
A public hearing was held last week to discuss what to do if their budget fails again and they have to resort to a contingent budget.
The proposed 18.5 million dollar budget now includes a 1.18 percent tax levy increase for the district.
Last month... the proposed tax levy was at 1.99 percent.
Officials say a contingent budget would be for the same amount proposed in the revote.... but dolgeville school would have to use more fund balance to make up the difference.
The district is also looking to purchase new buses to replace their aging ones.
The budget needed a 60-percent majority to pass... but it was 34 votes
After the Dolgeville school budget was initially rejected in June, it has passed after the second vote this week.
