"Sherman's Showcase" is about a fictional musical-variety show that takes viewers on a ride through 40 years of entertainment.
The brains behind the operation -- former "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" writers Bashir Salahuddin and Diallo Riddle -- tell ET Canada's Cheryl Hickey they want their show to be an "oasis" for viewers.
