Bibb Sheriff's investigators: Bank robber on the loose

Bibb County Sheriff's investigators are looking into a bank robbery that happened at  MidSouth Community Federal Credit Union in Mercer University Drive on Wednesday.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what led to the shooting.

Also this morning, bibb county deputies say a bank robbery suspect used p-p-e as a disguise.

The robbery happened at midsouth community credit union on mercer university drive just after 9 o'clock.

Deputies say an unarmed man in dark clothing entered the bank and approached the teller.

This is surveillance video from the robbery.

And as you can see, he used blue gloves and a blue mask to hide his identity.

"well, unfortunately, people can use them for nefarious acts, like this, but we are grateful when people do wear them due to the covid situation.

It's a two-way street, they are good to help our citizens, but unfortunately, they can be used for nefarious acts."
