Mint Julep cup feature first female jockey

The first female to ride in the kentucky derby will be honored this year... by being featured on the 1,000 dollar mint julep cup.

The cups for this year's woodford reserve 1,000 dollar mint julep program will feature etchings of the jockey silks worn in 19-70 by crump... along with the twin spires of churchill downs.

A total of 146 julep cups went on sale today.

Cups numbered 1-25 are gold-plated and and sell for 2,500 dollars each... while the rest are silver- plated and sell for 1,000 dollars.

Proceeds from the cup sales will be donated in crump's honor to the permanently disabled jockeys fund.
