Kezi 9 sports reporter julian mininsohn is live outside autzen stadium with the latest.

Many oregon student-athletes have been criticized over social media about these reqeusts.

One big demand is players want the right to opt out of playing this season without losing eligibility or a spot on the roster.

Oregon defensive lineman jordon scott questions participating in fall camp if the nfl hasn't started playing yet.

He says he doesn't want to be a part of "experimental data."

Oregon state's jaydon grant tweets... "nurses and doctors go to work to save lives while risking their own and for that they are admirable.

He adds... "what lives are being saved from playing football in the midst of a glocal pandemic?"

Other player health and safety demands include prohibiting covid-19 agreements that waive liability as well as player- approved health and safety standards enforced by a third party of the players choosing.

The pac-12 responded to the list of student athlete demands by saying, "we support our student-athletes using their voice, and have regular communications with our student- athletes at many different levels on a range of topics, as we have clearly stated with respect to our fall competition plans, we are, and always will be, directed by medical experts, with the health, safety and well being of our student athletes, coaches and staff always the first priority.'' football training camp is set to start on august 17th.

So far more than 20 oregon football players have backed these requests including penei sewell who could be the first player selected in next year's n.f.l.

Draft.
