ADPH plan on how to deal with virus in school .

I'm marie waxel.

This morning..

You are taking a live look across north alabama!

In a little more than than 48 hours..

Roads will be filled with parents and bus drivers taking their students to class!

This comes just a few hours after a statewide training session -- aimed to help schools deal with a coronavirus outbreak.

Waay31s sierra phillips is live with what school districts in north alabama say they learned from that training session, sierra?

This morning schools here in huntsville will start the school year online but other school districts are making plans for in-person classes using information from that training session.

We're told the main focus of the training was what to do when someone gets sick.

If a student or staff member shows signs of coronavirus, they will be isolated in a designated room and then sent home to get tested.

If they test positive, a school nurse will help identify who came in contact with that person..

And they will be sent home to quarantine for 14 days.

As limestone and jackson county schools start back on friday, both superintendent s told us the training showed them that there's still more to be done.

We're currently looking at adding additional health care individuals.

We are looking at hiring a roving nurse.

Instruction on when to close a class room or school was left out, leaving it up to the district to make that decision.

The superintendent of limestone county schools says teachers still need to create seating charts before students return on friday.
