One Killed in Semi Crash

One person is dead following a crash involving a semi in rockcastle county early this morning.

L3: abc 36 news white one killed in crash involving semi rockcastle county state police say 56- year-old david thornton was killed when the car he was in was struck by a tractor-trailer on 1-75 near the 68 mile marker.

Thorton's car then hit a pickup truck.

This was around five this morning.

Thornton was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.

The interstate was closed until 12-30 this afternoon.

Police say drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors in the crash... but say the crash remains under investigation.
