Police chase ends with a car in a house

The Resident says the impact caused the foundation of her house to move and knock over things throughout her home.

Kezi nine news reporter connor mccarthy joins us live here in the studio and connor was the family inside when the house was hit?

Chynna-- the whole family was home at the time but all of them escaped without any injuries.

Police say a driver sped out of the paramount shopping center parking lot and was chased by police.... before loosing control at the corner of 'g' street and 21st around 3:30 this afternoon after the suspect crashed the car into the house... he tried to run off.

Police were able to arrest the man a few houses down.

There also was a passenger inside who walked away too but he was also stopped and questioned.

Ashley smith was in the room where the car hit... and she says the moment it happened-- everything against the wall came flying at her.

It's prettty crazy, i didn't expect anybody to ever hit my house that hard but i always expected my house to get hit because of where i live and everybody always runs the stop sign.

Smith says the car hit her house so hard it moved the foundation.

She says things were even knocked over by the impact on the other side of the house.

Chynna-- when it comes to the driver... his name has not yet been released.

I did speak to the sargent at the scene about possible charges and he says it can be anywhere from criminal mischief... hit and run... and wreckless driving.
