Joseph school district prepare to teach online school to over 2000 kids throughout the area.

Kq2's danielle soxy joins us as she talked with teachers today on how they are getting ready for virtual teaching this fall.noise elementary school will open it's doors for the first time since 2014...hosting 95 teachers as they use the building as a location to teach virtual academy for 2- thousand 8-hundred and 36 studentsits the first time for everyone......an experience that will come with many learning curves, but everyone is ready to begin this new journey <<<jennifer schoeberl 3rd grade "i love it.

This building has just such a positive atmosphere and vibe and my third- grade team is amazing.

There's seven of us and we work really well off of each other and it's unlike anything i've ever experienced."

Jennifer has been teaching for 24 years now,never expecting to teach in this type of environment during her teaching career schoeberl 3rd grade "no, i never thought that at all."it will be a learning experience to say the least grade "i am learning so much through all of our training.

I am probably not the most techy person.

I kind of shy away from that a lot so this is really forcing me out of my comfort zone.

I think it's a good thing.

I'm hoping that because of that, i will be able to help the families and realize that it's okay, i'm in the same boat with you, i'm learning right alongside with you, and we can figure stuff out together."erin wilkinson 1st grade "once i got going and figured ot how everything worked, everything kinda fell into place."a parent herself, erin wilkinson wants to make learning the easiest way possible...knowing mom and dad are going to be a big part of school this year.erin wilkinson 1st grade "biggest worry is just making sure that those kids can get on the technology and that hopefully its user friendly for my babies-myfirst graders-as possible.

As a parent i try to think through that lens for my parents so i'm not overwhelming them along with their student."despite not being able to teach in-person this year,the teachers at the virtual academy are excited to establish a new way of learning in the st.

Joseph school districtjennifer schoeberl 3rd grade "and so i was really looking forward to taking this on and learning new things and making a difference to our families.">>> teachers at the virtual academy say they are going to miss the hugs in the morning and seeing their kids smiles in person, but they are going to work very hard on establishing relationships through zoome meetings and phone calls.they want to make sure the kids know they are loved and cared for and they are here for them.
