Places where you could watch your favorite actors on a larger than life screen?
Well they're coming back -- soon.
Kezi 9 news reporter emma jerome reports in eugene about what to expect when the curtin goes up.
Emma jerome: "a lot of us have been doing this lately & scrolling through netflix looking for a movie to watch during quarantine.
But, starting tonight our options are expanding."
Kevin cargill: " you never know what you miss until it's gone - and i cannot wait for the theaters to get back open again" regal cinemas at the valley river center mall opens friday... the amc in corvallis opened today... both with a large bucket of restrictions regal released a video of what movie goers can expect...*na* things like regular screening for employees, a mask requirement unless you are seated and eating or drinking... and a good sanitation after every showing.
Even things like an increase in fresh air intake by 50%-100% above normal levels at regal.
Kevin cargill, a springfield father of 6 says he wasn't always a movie theater guy because of the cost.
Now?
He doesn't care!
"i'm going to spend $50 on a bag of popcorn, $12 on a bottle of water, it doesn't matter.
Just to sit down to have peace and quiet in the dark and all my kids to just shut up for an hour and a half to watch this movie."
Both area theaters have select showtimes listed on their websites.
