Saturday Morning Webcast

16 WAPT Meteorologist Christana Kay has the forecast for Jackson and Central Mississippi.

Hot, steamy conditions this weekend. We're starting things off with a heatadvisory today starting at 11 o'clock, ending around seven real Phil values, getting well into the low one hundredswith potential between ah 110 1, 15degrees up into the delta.

That heatadvisory does include Madison and HindsCounty and the western part along theMississippi River counties.

Wells YazooCounty in Holmes County.

But all of ourother counties that are not highlightedin this advisory.

Real field valuesstill going to be between 98 to 103 sostill feeling very hot.

Very humid.Keep caution, say hydrated, reducedthat outdoor activity if you can.

Andif you start seeing those signs of heatstress, take that step back and findsome A C and some shade it later onToday.

Now we're going to get someshade today.

Fortunately for us, thoseclouds We're going to stick around inthe picture for the majority of the day,but we will see them filter in and out,so expecting anywhere between partlycloudy to mostly cloudy skies later ontoday.

Temperatures warming up from 87by noon to 91 by three o'clock.

Again, real feel values getting well into thelow 100 this afternoon.

The chance ofan afternoon shower storm is there, butit is going to be very minimal thisafternoon, anywhere between 2 to 7o'clock.

And most of that rain is goingto be tailored farther to the south, outside of the metro, into our southand south easterly counties for lateron today.

Now, this afternoon.

This iswhy.

Let's talk about those real fieldtemperatures getting anywhere between102 and Raleigh 100 Brookhaven one ofseven and Vicksburg.

But even hotter upin Bell's own A real field values couldpotentially get up to 110 degrees overthere, and tomorrow is going to be muchof the same as, well, those dewpointsnot changing at all.

We're going to sayvery steamy, that will normally say thelower the dew points of morecomfortable.

It feels the fact thatwe're staying in the seventies, thosecontour lines that deep green notchanging at all, even into next weekjust shows that we're going to bedealing with these conditions for quitesome time.

And there's those real fieldvalues.

I'll talk about for tomorrowafternoon again, really anywherebetween 100 to 107 degrees.

I will notbe shocked if another heat advisoriesissued for tomorrow afternoon and theMonkey nous continues next week at all.Tailoring between humid and muggy, potentially getting into that miserableand brutal range by next week.

Butthere is a little bit of some good newsas we go into Thursday and Friday ofnext week.

We have a front that's goingto move through, and that's gonna bringyour temperatures below average.

Sothis is that Blue were talking aboutearlier this morning, and our newscast, those Deep rich blues, continues toshow well below average temperaturesover Omaha, Kansas City.

Sioux fallsdown here, still below average.

Not asa big of a drop, but it's going to makethings a little bit comfortable.

Thathumidity is going to go down and arewake up.

Temperatures are going to bemuch lower and then back into thetropics.

We're looking at two wavesright now.

One has low risk over thenext two days of developing.

Anotherone has a moderate chance of developingin the next 2 to 5 days, both of thesein the mid Atlantic, both of themmoving very slow, if anything, over thenext little bit that activity in theLeeward Islands going to be gusty windsand heavy rain.

But this is not reallygoing to drop too much of a concernuntil we head into the beginning ofnext week.

So kind of the wrap thingsup again this weekend.

Hot and steamyconditions that's going to continueinto next week with those afternoonshowers and storms temperatures stayingaround average but feeling much higherthan that.

And then when we have thatfront moves through by late next week, temperatures dropping below average.
