Lynden it was another friday night football full of masks and social distancing -- you were at louis crews stadium for the bob jones -- james clemens game -- what was it like there?

Dan this atmosphere was awesome tonight.

Maybe its because my ten year high school reunion is this year, but ive been so emotional at these games and taking in every single aspect of the game!

Glad they moved the game to louis crews, because a lot of people were there, but they were far apart.

Bob jones leads the series all time 6-2... the patrtiots losing two straight... but new year, new coach, and these guys want a new outcome to the rivalry against the jets.

First drive from the louis crews addition of the madison bowl..

Connoc cantrell fires the cannon.

And man no one is catching tyrik walker, we got james clemens up 7-0 earlyyy in this game, and i mean the jets are keeping their chill right?

Next drive, i don't know why his last name is walker, because he can run!!!

Tyrik again for six, jets miss extra point 13-0 still the first lets see if james clemens can score running the ball... giovanni lopez on the keeper, shakes off bob jones for six more... up now 20-0.

Bob jones's evan pippin stuffs that play... but its all jets tonight.... final 54-28 tonight, is senior night at sparkman high, where the senators are taking on the albertville aggies.

It was senior night tonight at ider high school as they faced off against north sand mountain bison.

First quarter -- bison quarterback lake bell is going to fake the hand off and call his own number.

He takes it to the house.

Bisons with an early 6-0 lead.

Later in the first -- bell hands it off to fernando luna who finds a nice hole up the middle for another bison touchdown.

Bisons up now -- 12-0.

And the bisons on a hot streak in the first quarter -- bell fires one off to freshmand jacob kirby who puts another six points on the board.

A two-point conversion puts the bisons up 20-0.

The bisons will leave ider with the win - 40-13.

Even though the ider hornets took a loss tonight -- it was still a special night for the school.

As waay 31's will robinson-smith reports, the most important part of the evening was honoring their principal -- cyrus frost -- who died on tuesday of a heart attack.

Will robinson-smith those who came to the game were given ribbons -- yellow, black and white -- the schools colors and also a symbol of how much cyrus frost cared for his high school.

A stadium filled with ider high fans -- silent and solomn -- as malorie frost, her daughter, madison, and friends took to the field to honor her late husband -- cyrus frost.

The principal of three years died on tuesday of a heart attack.

Dr. jason barnett, superintendent, dekalb county schools it really was a testament to him and who he was and his memory and legacy that will carry on at ider high school and the rest of the dekalb county schools community.

Frost spent more than 20 years in education.

One of his life long friends -- and a fellow principal -- jamie darwin -- says he wouldn't have missed being at friday's ceremony for the world.

Jamie darwin, principal, woodville high school he's a true friend.

We have a lot of acquaintances in life, but he's a true friend that would drop everything to come help you out, if you needed it.

A balloon release was held for frost following a eulogy of sorts over the loud speaker.

And before the ceremony even got underway -- a rainbow formed over the stadium.

Jamie darwin, principal, woodville high school i definitely see it as a sign and it was a special moment.

It was a special moment for his friends and especially his family.

Will robinson-smith and the superintendent says this is the message that will be carried through across dekalb county schools: ider strong and stronger together.

Signs that they all stand behind the high school that, right now, is going through a great deal of pain.

Reporting in ider, will robinson-smith, waay 31 news.

Ider high school is also holding a special thought for one of its football players whose father also died this week from a heart attack.
