Daniel Prude death: Brother addresses crowd at Rochester protest

Joe Prude, brother of Daniel Prude, a black man who died after being physically restrained by police officers in Rochester, New York, addressed a crowd on Friday (September 4) that had gathered in his honour.

The clip shows Prude thanking the crowd and admiring them for the compassion they have for him and his family after the death of his brother.

Daniel Prude suffocated to death after officers put him in a "spit hood" designed to protect police from detainees' saliva.

"This is an unstoppable moment right here," Prude says to the crowd.

"Now everybody out here is from a different upbringing and different ethnicity, and we've got this much consideration and compassion for one another?

Now let's make an ass and a mockery out of them!" he continues.
