And emma what else will evacuees get help with if they go to that meeting?

People from all over douglas county were able to come out today and finally get some answers about whether or not their home is ok structure damage numbers have to come from the douglas county sheriffs office and they have not reported those yet but resources for these evacuees are still abundant the red cross was initially set up in glide but once people started being evacuated they moved to the douglas county fairgrounds.

They offer immediate shelter to those evacuated no matter their circumstances.

Judi mahoney red cross volunteer 56:44 people that needed immediate shelter could stay here we also have contracted rooms at local hotels.

We have blocks of rooms that we are putting people up in.

Some folks did not want to be in hotels because there also the horse stables and there some other pets that have been housed here so they wanted to be closer to their pets.

Other resources are available for douglas county residents who have been displaced due to the fire.

Both those in need of help as well as people who want to donate can call the douglas county health services covid and fire hotline where people are being matched together based on what they can offer and what others need.

The private drop in meeting will last just a little bit longer - open to specifically those who have been evacuated from areas listed earlier in the hour.
